Can not become the jury chairperson of Kerala State Film Awards

Poet and prominent contemporary film maker Buddhadeb Dasgupta has made it clear that he cannot become the jury chairperson of Kerala State Film Awards if the government wants to finalize the award winners in a hurry.
In a statement, the film maker informed the government that the jury has been given a very short span of time and it is practically impossible to watch and choose the winners from the nominated films within this given time.
Earlier, the government asked the jury to finalize the winners of the Kerala State Film Awards 2010, before the current LDF-led Marxist government completes its five years tenure in power next month.
